What do I need to record video game speed runs on my computer?

I am wanting to do a speed run of a Gamecube game for speed demos archive. How much would this endevor put me back financially?

This information is what I think I need :
What I already have is a more than capable computer with an avalable slot for one more card. I need a card that can record through composite or S - Video connectors in real time to my hard drive.

I am after the cheapest new card that can handle speed demoing with at least Gamecube resolution.

If my question is confusing tell me and I can update my details accordingly.
